I've only stopped drawing for a bit more than a week, and my hands feel soooo rusted D:

I bought A HELL LOT of good stuff in FF & CWT, I roughly spent around $400 on just doujins and doujin goods =___=bb but it didn't really help very much, on the other hand, it makes me more confused about what I should draw.

The best part of this trip is that I saw GO NAGAI and SUZUE MIUCHI in person. They invited the artist of I's too but I don't really care.

I was invited by Althea, and had a great day with Althea/Aurelia/Josh,... and Paul, of course.

this is watercolour. I bought a watercolour pocket kit on Thursday for the Sketchcrawl event, and are having great fun with it. Now I'm quite stressed out, because I didn't finish my Generation entry this weekend, I spent my time playing with watercolour and copying Terada's sketches instead.........OTZ.

I've made a new year resolution to support myself from doing illustrations/ drawing by the end of this year, and I've been consulting people about it . I just discovered though, that I only earned around $700-$800 for a full children's book project i finished last month :S.....not looking good D:

Speedpainting

I've been trying to do speedpainting recently.

This one took me 90 minutes, so I don't think it can really be considered speedpainting. Then I realised that I've hardly finish a proper painting anyway, so most of my doodles should all be considered as speedpainting as I hardly have the patience to draw for more than 60 minutes.

this year will be soon over...
and all i do is sitting in front of the computer finishing my manga =____= no time to review what i've done all year...

today is supposed to be the deadline of Generation.
i've received i front cover submission(Pam), 2 back cover submission (Queenie & Pam), 8 pages from Pam, 4 pages from Matt and 10 pages from Queenie.

currently all submissions i received are via FTP downloading. no CD submission yet (well, i didn't go and check them today)
for those who are submitting late: please submit via FTP and not via mail :P

i'm expecting to receive another 38 pages in the next 5 days if everyone finished their work before i go back to Taiwan. (that is, 10 from Chewie, 8 from sid, 10 from Dan, 5 from Komala & 5 from Chibigon)
if all goes well it would be a 70 page- doujinshi (plus 7-10 pages of mine)which is nearly twice the size of the standard size (40p).

and i've still got one page tenipuri to ink. 2 pages of generation to ink. 5 pages of Tenipuri and 2 pages of generation to tone.

working at a pace of finishing 2 pages per day now. hope i can finish on time and leave some time to do the editing for generation.

as the day draws near to the Generation deadline i've been receiving works from a few people...it all look really nice...

and as the day comes nearer to my flight back to Taiwan i found there's enormous amount of work waiting for me and it keeps increasing...

i can't access my school web account, which means i can't update the Generation website and gave me a headache

wondering how am i going to write the purpose of Generation to others in the book....i'm not good at writing at all >___<...

my 7 pages manga for generation is nearly inked up now....
it's composed of 2 short episodes...there's a 3rd episode that i want to add but am afraid that i'll never finish them.
haven't think of the titles of the story yet.....

It's a great satureday today. went to Strathfield with Eden to attend a CFCA party. CFCA is a registered company in Australia doing American style comics and stuff and Jason (who has done the 2004 September calender) was working for them too. Eden and me are interested in working for them although we r not get paid, just to get some experience. I met a new artist called Zach, doing digital media in COFA and is really amazing in 3D modelling animations. I hope to get some colouring and conceptual sketches jobs in the holiday. I WANT WORK!!

Eden is actually 20 minutes late when we meet in the morning, and i decided to wait for him in Strathfield. First time going to Strathfield, full of Koreans, i guess if i live there for more than a year i would learn a lot of Korean.

on the way back from Strathfield(about 5 pm) Eden and i stopped at Ashfield to eat something since we have eaten nothing for the whole day, and i want to have a look at Comic King's (a chinese comic rental store)main store in Ashfield. I found the new work of Nishi Keiko there, she did that in 2003, it's called "STAY- ah--kotoshino natsumo nanimo nakattawa" (STAY-there's nothing this summer).
IT IS A GREAT BOOK.MUST READ IT IF U R A NISHI KEIKO FAN.

Sat.11-
Animania with Ella, Chris,Tiffany.took lots of photos with Ella.Digi cam Out of battery b4 3. changed 3 costumes in a day.cosed Ritsuka in Loveless, dressed in chinese costumes(dunno what they r called in English), and Tezuka in Tenipuri.
had a lot of fun in Karaoke helping out James.
didn't have a table this year cos it costs too much. Chibigon had a table this time, wish i could share the table with herXD.The alice pics were nice. XD
saw the calender, liked the September pic the best. then the Feb one. Ella forgot to put an entry in =___=(kick).
the Art competition standard has raised so much this year that i can see a it's heading the Japanese standard. Pamela's drawings rocks. only a few entries r in the art comp cos the restrictions were too tight.

went dinner with the arts ppl after the event (Annie, Paul,sid,Dan,John choi, Chewie...etc) then went to Pitt st mall to chat with the yaoi girls (Rei, Yoshi and the other girl -forgot her name), then met ppl from melborne, there was a guy who i saw dressed as Digi, and another guy who knows i'm cosplaying tenipuri XD.was fun being spotted.

cosed tenipuri today. met Komala on Sat and Vivien on Sun. Yaoi panel was really popular. did some jam pics with other artists and it was great!!Had the idea of publishing a professional looking doujin when attending to the self-publishing panel and discussed the idea with Annie when the day was over. Met few more people and had dinner with them but everyone was dead tired. had dinner at 8 and home at 12.

talked to everyone i can possibly think of during the screening. got good responses. need find time to work on it.

Sat 18
was in the comic & toy fair in Newtown and sold 2 more copies of HP. Talking to Komala all afternnon and exchanged sketches. Calculated how many new doujins is going to be published in Supanova. there is one from me, a new shonen ai one from Komala, a new moshi moshi from Komala, a new jam sketchbook from Tengu, one form Chibigon and one from Pamela--- 6!! amazing figure

My brain is not working properly and minds all blank due to intense studying of XML (though it's not really a hard thing)so i think i might just do some lightweight stuff like writing the diary.....

i remember the first time going blank is in year 12 after studying 8 hrs of 4U maths till 11 and that makes me vomit just like now.....

and in uni i started to experience countless blankness when doing programming, designing...etc.....

i think i need some chocolate rite now........

Friend came back from Taiwan and brought me Fruit Basket 12 & Hunter 16,17....seen most of the hunter already.still........man...it's such a perfect comic for otaku's, with all this info about every card and the mystery of Shizuku's number in Ryodan.....
wanna write stuff about it but got no time........

Fruit Basket 12 is pretty nice.....despite the change of the publisher and the change of a even funnier chinese translation title and poor translation.......
I MUST SAY AYAME IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUUUUUUUUUUTE!!
and Kyo is SOOOO DAMNNNNN CUUUTE is well...
somehow Tohru reminds me of Annie.....nantoka..(don't ask me why.....)

since vol 9 Furuba has been very boring and all these psychological cliche came out but somehow i think vol 11
and 12 has done a good job about it and made their points across..........
want to do more furuba doujin now.....but is hard to have plots better than the original....

7 is actually the stress type of 5....so that means i'm either a 5, under stress, or a 7 under the healthy condition, and i think i'm in a pretty healthy condition and that makes me a 7 :D
